This matters to me because I love the sport. I want to improve my game in order to play on higher-level teams in the future. As I learn how to handle the disc better, I will be able to contribute to my team's success better.
With this knowledge I plan to continue to practice with the BYU Club. One of the better players offered to help me and train me 1-on-1, so I'm going to practice with him to improve more quickly!
I am glad you have such passion in pursuing your dreams. It is nice that you have someone who is willing to coach you privately as you strive to improve as a player. I understand how much work it requires to get to the top of your field and I wish you all the best in your pursuits.
ReplyDeleteI understand the desire to improve your game. Sports can be a really fulfilling activiity. It takes a lot of time, effort, and focus to perfect your skills. I have had a similar experience with basketball and even though it takes a lot of work, my passion for the sport makes it enjoyable.
ReplyDeleteDude that's pretty sick you are into Ultimate. I just picked up Disc Golf and want to get into Ultimate too. I'm married so a little out of shape to compete with you guys but I thinking about joining an intramural team. I totally get where you are coming from. Now that I have picked up Disc Golf, all I want to do is get out there and perfect my throws. It sounds like you have a passion so I'm sure you'll be great.
ReplyDeleteI give great credit to you! Ultimate Frisbee is one of those sports that I cannot seem to get down. The whole arm movement and changing your grip seems to take a lot of time to master! Keep up the great work!
